The leaders’ deliberations were primarily focused on rejuvenating the peace process, a mission that has always proven to be a challenging task. In the face of numerous concerns tied to the Palestinian issue, the two heads of state deliberated on ways to harmonize their perspectives and strategize for the road ahead.

According to the Presidential Spokesman, Counsellor Ahmed Fahmy, both leaders accentuated the critical need to safeguard the rightful Palestinian entitlements. They jointly underscored the pursuit of a comprehensive, just, and enduring peace premised on the two-state solution, further advocating for the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Their consensus followed the guidelines of international law, pertinent resolutions of international legitimacy, and the Arab Peace Initiative. This coordinated approach aims to catalyze security, stability, and prosperity for all communities in the region, marking a promising direction towards a more peaceful Middle East.
